Here on the first leg of the trip. Hit Sheboygan by 3 o’clock just as I planned. Had a wonderful walk downtown among the old arcatictual beautiful buildings, then toward the lake where the large stately homes line the streets in this district that Linda lives in. I find peace every time I come here. Her apartment is in the historical area on the upper floor of a big old warm house. The deep hues of gold, clay and sage on the walls pull you right into a calm feeling with home spun accents scattered about in an eccelectic surrounding. If my life and heart weren’t in Green Bay in the old neighborhood I grew up in I’d be here in one of these old homes in a heartbeat. When I managed to gather up all of priscella’s and Archie’s comforting belongings and got them in their carriers I was so upset I had a hard time just getting to Poochies and Mutts. It seems like a nice place with each little home having four levels to climb around in and they get out for play time in their own area. I cried all the way home. I’ll have to call everyday to check on them. Priscella has never been away from her home in the 12 years I’ve had her and poor Archie is still adjusting to his new home with us. I know this is nuts! I’m worse than when I left 5 kids with my Aunt to go on a vacation….. Will have to check in with Archie and see what he has to say about his new experience……..
