TuTu

Mom had a a little black dog named TuTu and my dad was a retired railroad electrician. One night TuTu could not be found anywhere – my mom was distraught. She called John & I to come over to look for the dog. – We were quite the sight – dad led the search party with his railroad light shining a long beam of light into the darkness — and we all took turns calling into the night Tuuuuu Tuuuuuu Tuuuuuu Tuuuuuu. When we came back to the house – to plan our next course of action – we followed the sound of what we thought was scratching – it led us to the fruit cellar – where poor TuTu was trapped for the last hour. Mom didn’t know she had followed her into the cellar and there she remained until we gave up the search.

  1. I’m sure the sight wasn’t anywhere near the likes of a frieght train, more like a slow moveing passenger train with the engineer and his light leading the way minus the tracks. My family and I still have a fond memory of that incident with a few good laughs! That dog was something!
