New friends

Oprah says we each should have 10 friends.  How about that? I’ve met one new one that has opened a whole new world to me

Today I spent some time at the mall for Westie rescue. Just one of the passions of my new found friend, Carol. Thursday dinner with her at Ledgens for Litercy Green Bay. Played in a scabble turnament.  What a nice time.

Decided to have lunch at the senior center two days a week and meeting new people there also.

I’m far from the 10 mark, but happy with the many friends I’ve made over the years that are still in my life.

When I was working, very little time was left for outings with friends or to seek out new things to engage in but now is the time to take my nose out of a book and find a life that will keep me busy, be resourceful, and find fulfillment. I’m ready and it has started.  More to come as I steps up and move on!

Have many of you out there found this at times a hard thing to do for the possibity of feeling rejection?  How do you handle it?

  1. Sure great to have met you…….you make me feel happy. Love your sense of humor.

I know we will find lots of adventures ahead, Nancy.

    Great to see you today!

  2. I look forward to new adventures, be little ones or a new endeavor to tap into. We’ll find them.
Life sneaks up on me, days go by as I continue to bury my nose in that book, poring over someone elses adventures. Whoops! That’s OK for a laid back day but not as a way of life. This old broad ain’t past her prime yet….

  3. Thanks for helping out the Wisconsin westie rescue at Younkers on Friday.

I will be at the Art Garage on Saturday eve. Stop in if you can. Starts at 7 and ends at 9.
